Our services

From a single EV charge point‭, ‬to scoping works for direct to grid data centre connections‭, ‬our specialist teams offer a range‭ ‬of tailored services which can be delivered independently of each other or as part of a wider instruction‭.‬

This is all about working on connections which are designed to reduce carbon emissions‭. ‬Electric vehicle charging and solar farms for example‭. ‬Every project is different‭, ‬so we develop our service to suit‭. ‬We also help identify sites which might be suitable for a faster turnaround on EV connections using our bespoke licence and wayleave consenting system‭.‬

On larger projects there are often many routes which could be considered for taking a cable from the point of connection to the‭ ‬site‭. ‬Our Route Proving service will look at all the options‭, ‬checking for private land ownership‭, ‬statutory consent requirements and the extent of adopted highway involved‭. ‬We’ll then provide a report which details our findings and thoughts on any risks found‭.‬

This is the bulk of our work and we’re proud to work as sole landrights service provider for several IDNOs‭, ‬including UK Power Distribution‭, ‬IDCSL and Aurora‭. ‬We’re also an approved provider for mua Electricity and Gas‭, ‬Eclipse Power Networks and Leep‭. ‬

Many of these projects arrive with us via the appointed ICP and we’ll work with the site team to achieve consent completion as quickly as possible‭. ‬

We have our own inhouse CAD team‭. ‬This means we can be in control of creating and amending legal plans‭. ‬We can also support IDNOs by providing a plan preparation service for a minimal cost‭.‬

More and more IDNOs are entering the market and while some might have an experienced team behind them, we can help with the setting up of their landrights team and overall service. Our leadership team supports new IDNOs with the introductions of solicitors, implementation of processes and preparation of standard documents, helping to get everything up and running as smoothly as possible.

This is our desktop review service of a proposed installation which identifies high level information on land ownership and consent risks. Working from the Point of Collection (PoC) location, following the cable route through to the development site, our report will provide you with a summary of identified consent risks on a project.

How we work

Communication sits at the heart of our delivery process‭. ‬This includes who we engage with‭, ‬what we say‭ and ‬how we deliver information‭‭. ‬Communication is critical to our business and it’s what sets us apart‭.‬

We receive instruction from a Connection Provider or Adopting Network‭; ‬this can be ahead of design approval‭.‬

We review designs and determine landrights consent requirements‭.‬

We obtain title information from Land Registry and submit highways search requests‭.‬

We prepare legal plans‭, ‬issue initial enquiries‭, ‬and template deeds to landowner solicitors‭ ‬–‭ ‬keeping all parties updated‭.‬

We instruct network solicitors and proactively assist with negotiations‭, ‬obtaining client instructions and unblocking issues to‭ ‬get documentation agreed‭.‬

We provide final approval on solicitor reports and legal plans to allow documentation to be signed‭.‬

We ensure all accountable parties are aware of their responsibilities to ensure completion can take place‭. ‬This could include chasing for‭ ‬bank consents‭. ‬

We confirm completion and provide copy documentation to network(s‭). ‬Happy connecting‭!‬

To provide further clarity and help keep everything on track, as our client you would be given access to our online platform, CLM Live. This provides live updates on the status of every project and shows where actions are outstanding or completed.
