Case Study
Service: Legal plan preparation
Location: Nationwide
Client: Vattenfall Networks
Timescale: Ongoing
CLM delivery team: CAD team
Identifying where our inhouse CAD team could support an IDNO with its legal drawing requirements, we developed a bespoke process for managing its requests, often for delivery within tight timescales.
Background
We’d previously been approached by an Independent Connections Provider (ICP) asking us to provide legal drawing support for a project. At the time, we advised that Vattenfall had its own inhouse landrights team and therefore we wouldn’t be able to help.
Vattenfall then contacted us directly to ask if we could in fact help them. They needed land registry-compliant legal drawings to help them secure the landrights for a specific project.
Setting up our service
This was not a standalone service we offered, however through working closely with Vattenfall, we put the necessary measures in place and agreed how we could provide a service which would complement its own inhouse team. Subsequently, this has become an independent service we offer to our clients.
Developing our relationship
We set up templates and created processes to enable the swift creation of drawings. We delivered the requirements of the initial brief and through a direct relationship now in place with our CAD team, have delivered more than 40 projects to date.
