An expert team and proactive communication saw us secure the connection needed to energise a new multi-million-pound technology facility in Stafford.

Our brief
A new £22.5m technology centre was being planned as part of the Stafford Station Gateway project. Billed as offering high-level technical skills training, advanced engineering, digital tech and health sciences facilities, it needed an electrical connection to make it all happen.

We were asked to help deliver the project by arranging a substation lease between the network operator, mua, and the landowner which was Newcastle and Stafford College.

Challenges
This project had no apparent challenges associated with it, but there is always the potential for risks and delays, which is why the experience of our team was essential in securing the required agreements.

Delivery
A project of this nature typically takes around 12 weeks to complete, however because our team was focussed on proactive communication, engaging with all parties, providing regular, accurate legal updates and ensuring all questions were answered as soon as possible, we achieved completion in just 4.5 weeks.

Having this agreement in place early provided peace of mind for our client, and confidence the project could be energised on time and ready for its official opening.
