Case Study
Project: BP Pulse GigahubTM
Location: NEC, Birmingham
Client: The EV Network
Network operator: MUA
Timescale: Three months
Securing the path to connection for the UK’s largest EV charging hub with 30 ultra-fast 150kW and 150 fast 7kW charge points available, enabling 180 EVs to charge at once.
Our brief
Working with our long-standing client MUA, we were contracted to secure land rights agreements for this groundbreaking EV charging installation.
Challenges
From a landrights point of view, this project was relatively straightforward – the NEC was the landowner and The EV Network had already leased the land. However, this was a high-profile project with its schedule for opening potentially being governed by the availability of a senior member of the Royal Family.
Delivery
Communication was key to the successful delivery of this project, with weekly calls held between our Net Zero team, The EV Network and MUA.
And, thanks to our bespoke licencing and wayleave process, developed specifically for the EV market, we were able to meet the project timescales, successfully securing the path to connection with the National Grid.
